The former industrial area Oostenburgereiland in the Center of Amsterdam is undergoing a transformation into an urban neighborhood with approximately 1.800 homes in various segments, catering, business and recreational opportunities. On the headland, between the INIT building and the railway yard, the Oostenburgereiland car parking was completed in early 2020, good for more than 700 parking spaces. The robust prefab concrete body with split level floor plan fits well with the tough industrial look of the area. The vegetation roof, the PV panels and charging places make the building completely energy-neutral, making it the greenest location of Q-park in Amsterdam.
De opdracht
Commissioned by Hoco Beton, Snijders Ingenieursgroep engineered the entire prefab concrete construction. This concerns the entire superstructure consisting of interior walls, ramp walls, beams, columns, facade elements with and without structure, stairs, platforms, elevator walls and (elevator) roof plates.
In addition, we have been commissioned by Haitsma Beton B.V. and worked out the TT plate floors.
