Traditional reinforcement in precast concrete elements isn’t always practical and adequate. That is why we regularly use prestressed reinforcement. The implementation of prestressing in precast concrete elements has a lot of benefits in regards to traditional reinforced concrete. It creates smaller, and therefore lighter, precast concrete elements, and spans with prestressed concrete elements can become bigger. These benefits are utilized to a maximum by us when engineering precast products such as prestressed TT-plates and prestressed (massive) floorboards.
We would love to look at prestressing as an alternative reinforcement in balcony pates, corridor plates, beams e.g. for you.
