SC Cambuur will have a new stadium with no less than 15,000 seats. Van Wijnen has started construction and Haitsma Beton is supplying almost the entire concrete shell, with stand elements, supporting beams and columns and the necessary piles.
The Cambuurstadion will be multifunctional. For example, the extension on the south side will soon be used by ROC Friese Poort; it offers students an inspiring learning environment and will work closely with Cambuur. There will also be commercial spaces on the north and east sides of the stadium that will also be leased. The building will have approximately 5,000 additional seats for supporters compared to the current stadium. The new stadium is in line with SC Cambuur's ambitions to become a stable Eredivisie player.
