The Paella Contest at the Parque Tecnológico de Paterna has become an annual highlight for businesses in the region. This event, which took place in April 2024, aims to foster mutual camaraderie and a healthy, friendly rivalry between companies.

With 160 companies participating, this year’s competition was fiercer than ever. Companies showcased their culinary talents in a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere, providing the perfect opportunity to strengthen team spirit. In total, no less than 2500 people took part in the event, including our own colleagues from Valencia, who also enthusiastically demonstrated their cooking skills.

The highlight of the day was the creation of 146 delicious paellas, which were judged by a professional jury on taste, presentation and authenticity. The Paella Contest is not only an opportunity to enjoy this iconic Spanish dish, but also to celebrate what connects us as companies: collaboration, creativity, and pride.

On Friday 12 July, the annual BBQ for the summer holidays took place. The weather forecast was not good but luckily it was dry during the BBQ. During the BBQ, Lia and Jan-Cornee were put in the spotlight for their 25th wedding anniversary. It was a pleasant evening where we enjoyed the BBQ baking skills of Etienne and Curro.

Before we close our doors for the summer holidays, we would like to thank all employees for their commitment and contribution for realizing a successful 1st half of 2024.  We wish everyone a fantastic holiday and enjoy the free time. We look forward to working together again in August and starting with beautiful and challenging projects.

A special Lunch & Learn session took place in Veldhoven on Thursday 27 June, organised by Schöck . Thanks to modern technology, our colleagues from Valencia were also able to connect digitally, which made the session extra special. We were treated to an engaging and inspiring presentation focusing on Schöck’s various products. With current topics such as Isolink and Rear Assembly, subjects of great importance to our work, we were given valuable insights and new knowledge.

Our sincere thanks go to Michiel Rietveld and Geert Pannekoek, who made this instructive session possible. Their expertise and enthusiasm made for an unforgettable experience. We look forward to more such inspiring meetings in the future!

On Saturday, June 8, we celebrated the Day of Construction again with a visit to two beautiful projects in Eindhoven: De Caai and Nieuwe Bergen. These construction sites, on which our team worked hard, gave us an impressive and instructive insight into the construction of the buildings under construction. It was inspiring to see the results of our work up close. After the tours, we enjoyed a nice lunch, which made for a perfect end to the morning. It was an instructive day full of valuable new insights. Thank you to everyone who contributed!

During  the lunch breaks in Veldhoven we see real competition flourish. There is a fanatical battle to become a billiard champion. Our billiards champion has set the tables ablaze with his unrivalled skills. A moment of relaxation becomes an intense battle, in which precision and strategy come together. Congratulations to our unbeatable billiard master, Shams, who has mastered the art of the game to perfection. Also congratulations to the number 2 and 3, Leon and Jan-Corné.

On Thursday the 28th of March, project Nova at Maanplein 110 in The Hague was completed.
By realizing this project, a modern and vibrant living environment has been created in the heart of The Hague.

The project is part of the new and dynamic city district Binckhorst and has a mix of luxury homes and commercial spaces, which have been put together to enrich people’s living enjoyment. Our clients, Pleijsier Bouw / Hibex, are both very happy with the end result.
A good combination of quality and efficient working method in which this is achieved.

2024 is the year we celebrate the 45th anniversary of SIG (Snijders IngenieursGroep) in Veldhoven. Over the past decades, we have developed into a leading engineering firm, with a strong focus on engineering precast concrete structures. As we reach this milestone, we also celebrate the 5-year anniversary of our Valencia office, SEG (Snijders Engineering Group) . In 2022, we broadened our horizons by also opening an office in Montevideo, Uruguay. These milestones are testament to our continued growth and commitment to innovation and excellence in engineering. Recently, a significant milestone was celebrated – the project reached its highest point.
