Omschrijving
A new school building for Mavo, Havo and Vwo has been built on the corner of Henegouwenlaan and Tempellaan. The project consists of two sections with different building heights and was built in two phases. The high four-storey section (phase 1) includes the educational facilities and the low section (phase 2) contains the sports facilities.

The building parts are connected by the entrances: a main entrance from Henegouwenlaan and the student and staff entrance from the bicycle shed side. Both building parts have a modular design of the shell. The shell is visibly present. Inside, the concrete and wood alternate. Outside, concrete elements alternate with brickwork.

The school has the possibility to make or change the layouts itself. For instance, the education building, constructed entirely of prefab concrete elements, has a flexible layout with open voids and skylights allowing a view straight through the building. Thanks to solar panels, a heat pump and a CHP system, the complex operates at zero energy consumption.
