The Ensemble in Amsterdam Southeast is one of the largest and most sustainable mixed-use high-rise developments with 592 rental homes. Besides housing, there will be around 20,000 m2 of space for offices and social and commercial facilities.
The project consists of two nearly energy-neutral towers of about 120 and 100 metres, by using heat-cold storage, green roofs and solar panels. No scaffolding is involved in building the towers. Instead, it uses, among other things, C-fast, an innovative precast concrete construction system with smart joints, produced by C-Concrete.
The lively plinth will house facilities such as a health centre, pharmacy, youth talent centre, bicycle repair shop, catering and/or a gym. There will also be an underground public car park and bicycle parking for residents.
